First Preschool & Pre-K, (formally known as Mother's Day Out) is a non-profit, licensed preschool centrally located in the city of Pueblo, Colorado. We are currently a 2 star rated program with Colorado Shines (formally known as Qualistar). Our building is close to Rawlings Library, museums, Pueblo ice arena, Pueblo riverwalk, schools and restaurants.
Program Information
Ages
We provide care to children ages 2 1/2 through 6 years offering them high quality, age appropriate nurturing, education and guidance.
Schedule
First Preschool & Pre-K operates Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from the last week in August through May. Classes run from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. A full day is more than five hours and a half day runs under five hours. We are closed for Thanksgiving break, Christmas break and Spring break.
Programs
Children participate in various age appropriate activities using a thematic approach to learning and discovery.
2 1/2 year olds - learn to play and explore in a safe and fun environment.
3 year olds - learn through structured activities and play.
4-5 year olds - spend structured time to help prepare for kindergarten using Handwriting With Out Tears, and Frontline Phonics curriculum.

Our teachers are qualified, dedicated and experienced. All lead teachers meet state licensing standards and all staff is trained in CPR, First Aid and Universal Precautions.

Safety and security is our number one priority for our children. We offer small classes which enables us to be conscientious to all the children's location and safety.
